 POLICE OFFICER APPLICATIONS

The Village of Lansing is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Police Officer.  Requirements are:

·        U.S. citizen

·        21 years of age by January 27, 2007

·        Under the age of 35 at the time of final eligibility posting unless   exempt from such age limitation as provided in Section 5/10-2.1-6 of    the Fire and Police Commissioners Act

·        Must have 60 credit hours (official transcripts required at orientation)

·        Lansing residency required within six months of completing probation

Application packets will be available for a nonrefundable fee of $20 from December 11, 2006 through January 13, 2007 at the Village Clerk’s office – 18200 Chicago Avenue, Lansing Illinois.  There will be a mandatory orientation on January 22, 2007 at 6:00 p.m.  The physical agility/written examination will be held on January 27, 2007 at 8:00 a.m.  Please contact the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners at 708/895-7203 with any questions.
