Clerk Patty Eidam

Patty Eidam has called Lansing her home for 30 years. Patty served four years in the U.S. Army as a Military Intelligence Analyst in Germany, prior to receiving her Associates Degree from Thornton Community College. Patty and her husband Bud, a native of Lansing, raised 4 children here. During that time, Ms. Eidam served proudly as a Lansing Police Officer & Paramedic.

Patty's involvement in Lansing includes involvement with MDA, Girls Scouts, Lansing Junior Women's Club, Booster Club, Police Cadets, American Cancer Society, and President of the Lansing Historical Society.
In addition, Patty served for two years as a director at the Lansing Chamber of Commerce and one year on the Cable Commission. Prior to being elected as Village Clerk Patty served as a Trustee for eight years, serving as Chairwoman of the Insurance and Airport Committees where she worked closely with the Lansing Municipal Airport.

In Patty's spare time she enjoys being in her kitchen, at her sewing machine, or gardening.

The Village Clerk’s position is an elected, four-year term. The Clerk is the historian of the community for the entire recorded history of the village and its people.
The Village Clerk provides a service function to the Village of Lansing as well as support services to other departments within the village structure.
The duties of the clerk are essential to the operation of the community.

They include, but are not limited to, the following:

     • Maintains official records and documents including archives
     • Keeper of the Village Seal
     • Attends and records the proceedings of all Village Board meetings
     • Records and publishes Village Board meeting minutes
     • Maintains official ordinances and resolutions records
     • Countersigns and seals official documents, licenses and permits, etc
     • Complying and posting meeting agendas
     • Administering oaths
     • Answering inquiries from other government units and citizens
     • Responding to Freedom of Information Requests
     • Register Voters
     • Collection of fees such as Vehicle Sticker Registration, refuse and water service

Monday thru Friday 9:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.

Saturday

9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
Closed Sunday
